The Circular IT Asset Management Initiative is TRT’s commitment to extending the lifecycle of IT hardware by refurbishment, redeployment, and responsible sourcing IT hardware.
Instead of prematurely discarding IT assets, we ensure that functional equipment is redeployed whenever possible, refurbished for extended use, or processed for material recovery to support a circular economy in the technology sector. Additionally, internal assets can also be donated to educational institutions to further extend their useful life and benefit others.
Key goals in this project include achieving a higher circularity rate. These efforts directly contribute to CO₂ emissions reduction, as they help lower the need for new hardware production, which is a major source of emissions in the IT industry.
This project covers both internal IT asses and spares under our service agreements, including whole or part component of servers, networking equipment, and storage devices. Our approach applies to TRT’s internal IT asset lifecycle management as well as the hardware disposed of by our clients. With our global operations, this initiative spans in multiple regions.
